In 2008, water bears were the first animals demonstrated to be able to survive the vacuum of space (for over 10 days!). Furthermore, they have also survived very high pressures, up to 6,000 times that of the regular atmosphere (nearly six times the pressure of water in the deepest ocean trench, the Mariana trench). They can survive being blasted with intense radiation (humans die after being exposed to about 500 “roentgens” of radiation, the water bear, however, can survive 570,000)… as well as being exposed to temperatures near absolute 0 (−459 °F), and as high as +303 degrees Fahrenheit. It can also lose ~99% of the water in its body… Once, after adding water to a water bear that had been dead for 120 Years, it came back to life…….

So, just now I was just taking a sunset stroll down beautiful Bethells Beach (AK,NZ), enjoying the pink hues as they crawled along the rippled sandy floor, gently reflecting the sky’s goodnight opera… when I happened across some tractor tracks.
Immediately I stopped, without thought and looked at them. It’s what popped into my head, the `voice’ and what `he’ said, that brought me to write this:
“So, Paul… how will you tread the paths laid by man? Which way? Will you follow them?”
I stood there for a moment, without a word, took a breath, smiled & walked right through them answering “this”… And headed to the sea without glancing back at the tracks.
The `voice’ popped into my head one more time with this:
“Well then, you shall have the whole of the beach to dance & sing upon”
